Want to do something different for a family day out? There’s a role for everyone, it’s great fun, completely safe, and confidence building for kids too. (Children must be age 8 years and up.) Short loop trips are ideal for a small family or younger participants and last 1 - 1.5 hrs. Please note young children must be accompanied by adults.

Try the Short Loop Trip (1 - 1.5 hrs.) or the Classic Trip, around 2.5 hours. The Classic Trip takes you along the river through the beautiful Strawberry Beds, flowing downriver, navigating four weirs. You'll see stunning wildlife and discover some intriguing history on the way. The River Liffey is a treasure trove. Upstream from Dublin’s city centre, in its wilder environment, it is unique and wonderful, life giving and life enhancing. To discover it is to be gladdened by it. In fact, words don’t do it justice, you simply have to see and experience it with your own eyes and ears.

You can book a 2-, 4- or 7-person raft . Each of the 7-person rafts has one of our experienced guides onboard. The smaller 4-person & 2-person rafts generally have a guide accompany you by kayak to lead you on your trip.
